Disaster Relief

On March 31, 2010 Flooding engulfed much of the North Eastern United States.  River of Leland has been asked specifically to rally a team to render assistance.  This will be a Mud-Out Mission.  Job number one - Love on People!  Job number 2 - Remove everything which water has come in contact with.  This includes sheetrock, insulation, flooring and appliances!  Mold and Mildew are the major issues.  If left unattended, the residents will undoubtedly experience health related issues.

Your only expense will be food during travel to and from Warren, Rhode Island.  While there, food and lodging will be provided by Baptist Men from the North East Baptist Convention as well as North Carolina.  You will need sturdy shoes, a comfy Cot, and lots of Love!

If you've never participated in a Disaster Recovery Mission Trip, check out the video below.  This trip just might change your life!

Email John@RiverofLeland.com or call the church at 910-742-0003 to sign up.

Are you a guy or gal who simply loves to serve?  We partner with North Carolina Baptist Men as we serve locally, nationally and abroad.  If there is a disaster, NC Baptist Men will likely respond.  As needed, we will too!  Check out this video to catch a glimpse of the ministry.  Let us know you're interested and we'll get you on the next trip!
